Dr. Neil Cannon
Audiologist
I have been with R.D.C.A. Ltd. as a Clinical Audiologist since March 2000. I hold 2 under graduate degrees and 2 graduate degrees, and most recently I received my doctorate in Audiology in 2006. I have been in the field of Audiology since 1994 and practised in British Colombia, as well as Alberta, before finally settling down in beautiful Red Deer with my wife and 3 children. I enjoy working with the new, more innovative and versatile technologies, such as digital hearing aids and double microphone technology that helps reduce background noise problems.
Kathy Colpitts
Audiometric Technician
I have lived in Red Deer for the past 30 years with my husband and two children who are now successful adults. In July of 2006 I made a career change and began working at RDCA as a receptionist. I am now an Audiometric Technician. In the fall of 2008 I will begin taking classes through Grant MacEwan College to obtain my Hearing Aid Practitioner Diploma. My husband and I love to travel and spend time with family and friends.
Robert Cuvilier
Audiometric / Computer Technician
I have been working with Red Deer Clinical Audiologist since I moved to Red Deer from Nova Scotia in Aug 05. I have completed the Audiometric Course and I'm presently working as an Audiometric / Computer technician.
My job includes cleaning and checking hearing aids, industrial hearing tests, troubleshooting problematic hearing aids and general hearing aid programming adjustments. I also look after the computer network in the office and install software and hardware updates as needed and troubleshoot computer issues as they occur.
I enjoy working with our many clients of all ages providing them with any hearing aid services that they may require.
Sandra Duncan
Hearing Aid Practitioner
I have been working at RDCA Ltd. since 1999. I have had various job descriptions during this time. Starting as a receptionist then, upon successful completion of an Audiometric Technician course, performing industrial hearing tests and fault finding problematic hearing aids to now a qualified Hearing Aid Practitioner.
This has enabled me to test and fit our clients who have a problem with hearing with an appropriate and affordable hearing aid to meet most of their day to day hearing needs.
I really enjoy my many aspects of working in this office, especially the opportunity to get to know our regular clients and to meet new people and to try and help them hear. It is also a very interesting and challenging field to be involved in too, now that the hearing aid technology keeps improving all the time.
Dr. Allison Fox
Audiologist
In 1998 I moved to Red Deer along with my husband and two young children (our third arrived about 2 years later). I had been a practicing Audiologist for the Government of Manitoba for 13 years and was delighted to begin working almost immediately alongside the rest of the staff at the Red Deer Clinical Audiologist.
Initially, my primary focus was pediatric testing but for the past 6 years I have enjoyed conducting audiological evaluations and also fitting hearing aids for patients of all ages. I am very impressed by the technological advances within the hearing aid industry and it gives me pleasure to be able to provide amplification which truly improves my patients' communication abilities.
After living in this great city I am a bigger fan than ever of Central, Alberta. Although I still cheer for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, I am very happy to consider Red Deer my home, and I look forward to the opportunity to continue meeting new people through my work here at the Red Deer Clinical Audiologists.
Dr. Susan Hopf
Audiologist
As the owner/audiologist of R.D.C.A. Ltd., I have been in the practice in Red Deer since July 1988. In that time I have strived to provide a totally client oriented practice, providing as much clinical expertise that an audiologist in Central Alberta can offer. I started my career as a speech pathologist in Drumheller. I then went to the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington to obtain my Master of Science degree in Audiology. In March of 2006 I graduated with my Doctorate in Audiology from A.T.Still University of Health Sceinces in Mesa, AZ. I enjoy all aspects of audiology including diagnostic work, assessments ranging from infants to seniors, and fitting of the wide variety of hearing aids from the basic up to the newest innovative technology.
Ray Kmetiuk
Manager
As part owner, I have been with R.D.C.A. Ltd. from its inception in June 1988. Originally on a part time basis, but as the demand grew for clinical audiological expertise so did our practice. I decided to leave my federal government position and started to work full time as the Manager/Audiometric Technician since about 1995. Now with 4 full time Clinical Audiologists, 1 Hearing Aid Practitioner, 2 Audiometric technicians and 6 administrative staff, I hope we are able to meet all of the demands bestowed upon us by the central Alberta population.
Shari McDonald
Data Entry Clerk
I have been with RDCA for nearly 3 years. I started work as a receptionist and then moved behind the scenes to take on more administrative duties. These duties include data entry, shipping & receiving and reception back-up.
I enjoy helping to keep things in the background running smoothly. The best part of my job is the great people I work with and the wonderful clients I meet.
